Denning bags a pair of podium finishes at Davenport and Maquoketa
Fresh off his first victory of the season, Travis Denning returned to competition over the weekend with strong performances at a pair of Iowa ovals.
On Friday night at Davenport Speedway, Denning followed up a heat race win with a solid runner-up finish in the feature behind the wheel of his Petersen Insurance No. 56D Late Model.
Returning to action Saturday at Maquoketa Speedway, Denning looked poised for a repeat performance. He led the first 24 laps of the feature but was edged out by a last-lap pass after battling through lapped-traffic, ultimately crossing the line in third.
