Travis Denning on top at Peoria Speedway
Just one week after making his first start of the year at Peoria Speedway, Travis Denning returned to the Illinois oval on Saturday night and powered to victory lane during Reeser Landscaping Night.
The Sterling, Illinois, driver—who has recently focused on revitalizing the Crown Vic division in his region—followed up a sixth-place finish in the Late Model feature the previous week with a trip to the winner’s circle, marking his third victory of the 2025 season.
After a runner-up effort in his heat race, Denning quickly moved into second on the third lap of the feature before overtaking Cole Swibold just two circuits later. From there, he pulled away to capture his third Late Model win of the year and the $1,000 payday.
Denning’s weekend actually began on Wednesday with a trip to Wisconsin’s Lafayette County Speedway for the Grant County Fair Race. Making his first Modified appearance of the year in the Petersen Insurance No. 56D, he slipped one spot in the 20-lap feature to finish sixth.
